Albendazole (micronized)

100 mg.

Indications for use

Treatment of gastrointestinal and pulmonary nematodoses caused by nematodes sensitive to albendazole, including adult forms, larvae and eggs:

- Gastrointestinal nematodes: Ostertagia ostertagi, Trichostrongylus axei, Trichostrongylus colubriformis, Cooperia oncophora, Oesophagostomum radiatum, Haemochus contortus, Nematodirus helvetianus.
- Pulmonary nematodes: Dictyocaulus viviparus.

Treatment of cestodiasis caused by Moniezia expansa.
Treatment of acute fasciolosis caused by adult forms of Fasciola hepatica.

Posology and administration via

Cattle

Nematodes and cestodes: 0.75 ml / 10 kg bw in single dose.
Trematodes: 1 ml / 10 kg bw in single dose.

Administer by oral via with a drenching gun.

Withdrawal periods

Cattle

Meat: 14 days
Milk: 4 days

Remarks

Underdosing could result in ineffective use and may favour resistance development.
To ensure a correct dosage, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible.
Accuracy of the dosing device should be thoroughly checked.
