It was a pleasure to participate in the Casablanca Poultry Show Dawajine 2023. Grateful for the insightful conversations and valuable industry knowledge shared by fellow professionals.

The 24th edition of the "Dawajine" poultry exhibition was inaugurated in Casablanca on Tuesday by the Interprofessional Federation of the Avian Sector in Morocco (FISA), under the theme "Poultry Farming, Pillar of Food Sovereignty in Africa."

Running until November 30, this event aims to showcase innovations, encourage investments, and promote partnerships in the poultry sector. Aligned with the "Green Generation" strategy, the annual fair serves as a key meeting point for professionals in the poultry sector, attracting over 15,000 visitors and 450 exhibitors from around twenty countries.

Essential for the country's food security, Moroccan poultry farming produces 780,000 tons of white meat and 6.9 billion units of eggs for consumption, covering 100% of national needs. With an annual turnover of MAD 32.4 billion, the sector creates 141,000 direct jobs and 324,000 indirect jobs.

The new 2021 contract-program with FISA sets ambitious goals, including the creation of 140,000 jobs and an increase in total white meat production to 920,000 tons. Projects will be implemented to modernize poultry units and strengthen the sector's value chain.

In summary, "Dawajine" stands out as a vital event driving the sustainable development of Moroccan poultry farming and enhancing its presence in the African market.
