Indications for use
Treatment of infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to tylosin:
Cattle
- Respiratory infections caused by Pasteurella multocida and Arcanobacterium pyogenes.
- Metritis caused by Arcanobacterium pyogenes.
- Foot infections caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum.
Swine
- Respiratory infections caused by Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae.
- Mycoplasmal arthritis caused by Mycoplasma hyosynoviae.
Posology and administration via
Deep intramuscular administration.
Cattle
10,000 - 20,000 IU of tylosin/kg b.w./day, equivalent to 0.5 - 1 ml/10 kg b.w./day, for 5 consecutive days.
Respect a maximum volume per injection site: 15 ml.
Swine
10,000 - 20,000 IU of tylosin/kg bw/day, equivalent to 0.5 - 1 ml/10 kg bw/day, for 5 consecutive days.
Respect a maximum volume per injection site: 5 ml.
Withdrawal periods
Cattle
Meat: 24 days
Milk: 108 hours
Pigs
Meat: 13 days
Remarks
Medicine subject to veterinary prescription.
The duration of treatment should not exceed 5 days. The weight of the animals should be determined as accurately as possible to avoid underdosing.
Ensure sufficient separation between injection sites when multiple sites of administration are necessary. Gently massage the injection site. The injection should preferably be administered into the neck muscles.
