Indications for use
Poultry (chickens and turkeys)
Treatment of chronic respiratory disease (CRD) caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum sensitive to spectinomycin.
Treatment of gastrointestinal infections caused by Escherichia coli sensitive to spectinomycin.
Pigs
Treatment of digestive tract infections caused by Escherichia coli susceptible to spectinomycin.
Posology and administration via
Administration in drinking water.
Chickens and turkeys
100 mg of spectinomycin/kg body weight/day, equivalent to 200 mg of medication/kg body weight/day for 2–5 consecutive days.
Pigs
25 mg of spectinomycin/kg body weight/day, equivalent to 50 mg of medicine/kg body weight/day for 3–4 consecutive days.
