Posology and administration via

Piglets

Treatment of individual animals.
Each piglet should be treated with a single oral dose of 20 mg of toltrazuril per kg of body weight, equivalent to 0.4 ml of oral suspension per kg of body weight. This dose should be administered as a single dose between 3 and 5 days of age.
Due to the small volumes required to treat piglets individually, it is recommended to use an oral dosing device with an accuracy of 0.1 ml.
Treatment during an outbreak will be of limited value for the individual piglet as damage to the small intestine will already have occurred.

Calves

Each animal should be treated with a single dose of 15 mg of toltrazuril per kg of body weight, which is equivalent to 3.0 ml of oral suspension per 10 kg of body weight.
For the treatment of a group of animals of the same breed and the same or similar age, the dose should correspond to that of the heaviest animal in the group.
For best results, animals should be treated before clinical signs appear; that is, during the pre-clinical period.
