Indications for use
CATTLE (calves) AND PIGS (fattening)
Treatment to reduce fever and dyspnoea associated with respiratory diseases, in combination with anti-infective treatment as appropriate.
Posology and administration via
Administration in drinking water
Cattle (calves)
3 mg of ketoprofen/kg body weight/day, equivalent to 1 ml of veterinary medicinal product/100 kg body weight/day.
Pigs (fattening pigs)
1.5–3 mg of ketoprofen/kg body weight/day, equivalent to 0.5–1 ml of veterinary medicine/100 kg body weight/day.
The dose of 1.5 mg/kg is effective in the treatment of mild to moderate inflammatory conditions (body temperature < 41°C).
The dose should be increased to 3 mg of ketoprofen/kg body weight to treat more severe cases.
Treatment should be administered for one day. It may be continued for a further 1–2 days following a benefit-risk assessment by the responsible veterinarian.
