Indications for use
Cattle
Treatment of respiratory tract infections caused by strains of Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida and Histophilus somni that are sensitive to florfenicol.
Swine
Treatment of acute respiratory tract infections in swine caused by strains of Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Pasteurella multocida sensitive to florfenicol.
Posology and administration via
Cattle
Intramuscular injection: 20 mg/kg body weight, equivalent to 1 ml/15 kg, administered twice into the neck muscle at 48-hour intervals.
The volume administered at the injection site should not exceed 10 ml. The injection site must be changed for subsequent administrations.
Pigs
Intramuscular injection: 15 mg/kg body weight, equivalent to 1 ml/20 kg, administered twice into the neck muscle at 48-hour intervals.
The volume administered at the injection site should not exceed 3 ml. The injection site must be changed for subsequent administrations.
Withdrawal periods
Cattle
Meat: 34 days.
Milk: Not authorised for use in animals whose milk is intended for human consumption.
Pigs
Meat: 18 days.
