Remarks
PIGS
Given the proportion of medicated premix per tonne of feed, the authorised manufacturer must, to ensure correct use, dilute the premix beforehand so that the final incorporation into the feed is not less than 5 kg per tonne of feed.
This dilution can be carried out using the barley or maize meal that is to be used in the manufacture of the feed. Alternatively, if you have ready-made, unmedicated feed available, it may be done using that feed.
All target species
Due to the method of administration and the fact that feed intake depends on the animal’s clinical condition and the time of year, to ensure correct dosing, the concentration of the veterinary medicinal product shall be adjusted taking into account daily feed intake.
