Indications for use
Cattle
Diseases caused by bacteria sensitive to florfenicol. Metaphylaxis and therapeutic treatment of respiratory tract infections in cattle caused by Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida and Histophilus somni. The presence of the disease in the herd must be confirmed prior to metaphylaxis.
Sheep
Treatment of respiratory tract infections in sheep caused by strains of Mannheimia haemolytica and Pasteurella multocida sensitive to florfenicol.
Swine
Treatment of acute outbreaks of respiratory diseases caused by strains of Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Pasteurella multocida that are sensitive to florfenicol.

Posology and administration via
Route of administration: intramuscular or subcutaneous in cattle; intramuscular in sheep and pigs.
Cattle
IM route: 20 mg/kg body weight, equivalent to 1 ml of the medicine per 15 kg body weight, administered twice at 48-hour intervals.
SC route: 40 mg/kg body weight, equivalent to 2 ml of the medicine/15 kg body weight as a single dose.
The volume administered per injection site should not exceed 10 ml for both routes of administration (intramuscular and subcutaneous).
Sheep
20 mg/kg body weight, equivalent to 1 ml of the medicinal product per 15 kg body weight once daily by the intramuscular route for three consecutive days. The volume administered per injection site should not exceed 4 ml.
Pigs
15 mg/kg body weight, equivalent to 1 ml of the medicinal product/20 kg body weight, administered intramuscularly into the neck muscle twice at 48-hour intervals.
The volume administered per injection site should not exceed 3 ml.
Withdrawal periods
Cattle
Meat:
Intramuscular administration (20 mg/kg body weight, twice): 30 days.
Subcutaneous route (40 mg/kg body weight, single dose): 44 days.
Milk: Its use is not authorised in lactating animals whose milk is intended for
human consumption, nor in pregnant animals whose milk is intended for human consumption.
Sheep
Meat: 39 days.
Milk: Its use is not authorised in lactating animals whose milk is intended for human consumption, nor in pregnant animals whose milk is intended for human consumption.
Pigs
Meat: 18 days.
Remarks
Do not use in adult bulls or boars intended for breeding.
Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity or known allergic reactions to florfenicol or any of the excipients.
Do not use in piglets weighing less than 2 kg.
Do not use in cattle or sheep whose milk is intended for human consumption.
