Indications for use

Treatment of infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to tylosin:

Cattle

  • Respiratory infections caused by Pasteurella multocida and Arcanobacterium pyogenes.
  • Metritis caused by Arcanobacterium pyogenes.
  • Foot infections caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum.

    Swine

  • Respiratory infections caused by Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae.
  • Mycoplasmal arthritis caused by Mycoplasma hyosynoviae.

Diseases

  • Septic arthritis
  • Bronchopneumonia
  • Mastitis
  • Pneumoenteritis
  • Swine enzootic pneumonia
  • Pneumonia
  • Infectious pododermaitis
  • Mycoplasmosis

Posology and administration via

Administer by deep intramuscular injection.

Cattle

10,000–20,000 IU of tylosin/kg body weight/day, equivalent to 0.5–1 ml/10 kg body weight/day, for 5 consecutive days.
Do not exceed a maximum volume per injection site: 15 ml.

Pigs

10,000–20,000 IU of tylosin/kg body weight/day, equivalent to 0.5–1 ml/10 kg body weight/day, for 5 consecutive days.
Observe a maximum volume per injection site: 5 ml.

Withdrawal periods

Cattle

Meat: 24 days
Milk: 108 hours

Pigs

Meat: 13 days

Remarks

Medicine subject to veterinary prescription.

The duration of treatment should not exceed 5 days. The weight of the animals must be determined as accurately as possible to avoid underdosing.
Ensure sufficient spacing between injection sites when multiple administration sites are required. Gently massage the injection site. The injection should preferably be administered into the neck muscle.
